Full Spectrum Apparel T-shirt {review & giveaway}

Hey y'all!
Today we have a review and GIVEAWAY from Full Spectrum Apparel! This unique shop offers eco-friendly, hand-drawn graphic t-shirts, tank tops and even children's attire.

I was sent a Freedom of Speech tshirt. When I first saw the typewriter design on the Etsy listing, I instantly fell in love. I'm a writer, and also a lover of old-fashioned things - I remember having a typewriter in the house years back as a little girl.

I thought the visual aesthetics of this shirt were superb. I simply love the vintage look of the typewriter and birds graphic. All graphics on clothing from this shop were original, hand-drawn designs. Isn't that cool? This designer is a pretty awesome artist!

There are many color options for this shirt, but I opted for the minty-green tinted "tri-lemon" color mix. My favorite color is turquoise/mint, so naturally that's the color scheme I will typical go for.

As far as how the fabric feels, it's very comfortable and lightweight. Two things that are very good for hot Florida weather! Also, the fabric is quite soft.

The women's sizes do run small, so if you were to order a shirt just keep that in mind and order a size or two up or check the size charts before ordering.

I give this shirt a thumbs-up! It's visually unique, the graphic is really striking and it's very comfortable to wear.

Customer service from this company is highly professional and accommodating.

Hawk & Crow Vintage Tee {review}

Hello ladies! I'm filling in for Bethany today since she was unable to get to her post due to being out of town.

How's everyone's summers been going? Can you believe it's already almost August? Time has gone by so immensely quick this year!

So, it's time for another product review. I was sent a t-shirt from Hawk and Crow Vintage.

It looks to be relatively 'old' for a piece of clothing, maybe from the 90's at least? I'm not really sure, but either way it does kind of have a 'vintage' look to it.

It's very lightweight, and comfortable. The biggest negative is that it's a bit see-through, so I wouldn't wear it out in public anywhere. Mainly I've just been wearing it around the house., which works out great because in our hot, muggy FL weather it's very practical. I love how lightweight it is.

And of course, there's the color and graphic design on the front.

I think the instruments are cute, and the yellow background is a nice bright pop of color.
So. I like this shirt, and it's already gotten a good bit of wear.

You can find other vintage-y t-shirts and clothing items at Hawk and Crow Vintage here.

On a side note, for all those who sent in applications to become a APOC writer, thank you for your interest! We've selected a few ladies to join the team and I can't wait for you to meet them!

And, on yet another side note, I thought I should mention that I'm having a giveaway on my personal blog, here. There's only 4 days left to enter, so you might wanna go take a look at that now! I'm giving away two of my self-published poetry books, and also some natural eye shadow and homemade earrings!

Have a blessed day, y'all! Redeem the time!

HomeStateApparel T-shirts {review}

Are t-shirts a major role in your personal wardrobe? Do you find yourself wearing them 99% of the time, in varying situations and scenarios whether? If so, you'll definitely need to take a look at today's review.

A while back I was sent two shirts from HomeStateApparel

The first was a women's' size large, which my friend Meredith will be reviewing; and the other was a men's' medium which I'm doing.

Originally I was going to do the women's' shirt but it was extremely fitted, and the large felt more like an x-small. I'll warn you, these shirts run very undersized.

The HomeState shop was generous enough to send another shirt, this time in the men's sizing. It wasn't nearly as form fitting, and it fit me way better.

Ever since I got it, I've been wearing it everywhere. To the beach, to the grocery store, to piano tutoring, you name it. The fabric is very soft and comfortable.

As far as aesthetics are concerned, I love the look of this shirt. Blues are very dominant in my closet - maybe because blue is one of my favorite colors! So, naturally I liked that the color scheme here. The grey FL graphic compliments the blue quite nicely.

Ah yes, the Florida Home graphic. We can't forget that, now can we? I am not the only one in my family who has said it's an awesome design.

Overall, my final verdict is - This is a very cool t-shirt and I certainly enjoy wearing it. If you're going to get one, just make sure you count on it being a lot smaller than the size indicates.

Now, let's welcome Meredith, for her side of the review!

Hello ladies and gents, my name is Meredith, and I will be writing for you today.
Leah gave me the opportunity to review a Florida tee from HomeStateApparel, and I have to say, this shirt instantly became one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe. Why? Because it is COMFY!!! Most super comfortable shirts are - to be blunt - ugly, and not anything I would really like to show off in public. This shirt is excellent in its graphic design and super soft.

Another reason I find this shirt awesome is the fact that it was made for FL. OK, now obviously it has the state featured on it, but you have to put it on to get the full effect. The material is very light, thus very cool in our broiling Florida summers. Because of these two facts alone, this tee is great for working, exercising, or just hanging out with your peeps.

But of course, I couldn't stop there. I also love the color, if you look in my wardrobe you can tell. navy blue is a very trendy and compromising color. What in the world do I mean by that? Navy is a dark, sometimes dreary color, but it can balance out the moods in an outfit. It can be playful, or sophisticated. It can be bubbly, or downhearted. The HomeState shirt is the perfect example of what navy speaks to me because it is fun, yet mature.

Overall I love this tee, and believe it to be an excellent addition to an Floridian's wardrobe. -Meredith
