Suuchi Scarf! {Review + Giveaway}

  Hey, girls! To start off today's post, I want to congratulate Victoria Grace Tucker on winning the Christmas scarf giveaway. For those of you who didn't win... No worries. There will be a wonderful new opportunity at the end of this post. Today I am back with a review from Suuchi. I received this product free in exchange for my honest review.

 Suuchi is a company that makes tons of customizable (sometimes drool worthy) clothing. They've got lots of dresses, blouses, and more. They offered me one of their scarves to review, my choice. There were a couple of initial problems, most of these were probably my fault. The only reason I mention them at all is to point out what a fabulous effort the Suuchi team made to help me out when I was confused or having any issues. Any company that takes the time to help you and will try their best to accomodate you without acting irritated about it gets points in my book.

 The scarf arrived in a pretty quick amount of time, another nice thing. I chose the color orange sunset because I loved the pretty design and color. Here is a picture of me in the outfit I wore today. For some reason the dimensions look a bit strange and I'm sorry about the lighting! It was dark by the time we were able to do photos.

As you can see from the picture, the scarf has a shimmery quality to it that is really pretty. It's a very long scarf. In the picture it has already been folded in half and then over my neck. Some might not like this length, but I think it's a nice addition. It makes it simpler to wrap around your neck.

Here's one slightly closer. It still doesn't show the complete detail of the scarf so I'm going to share one more.

 Here we go. The detail on this scarf is gorgeous. It is my favorite part of the piece. The scarf is light, but thick, and feels like quality. It has a silky texture to it that feels great against the skin and you could also wear it as a wrap (or belt) because it quite thick as well as long. 

 I am so pleased with this scarf. One never knows what they'll get over the internet, but I think I can safely say that Suuchi makes quality products. Purples and pinks! {ClassyGarb + Product Review}

 Hello girls! Today I have a dual post for you. *Commence cheers.* *Crickets* Okay, well... onward then.

 I was sent a lovely purple skirt from the Etsy shop SweetCakeCookie to review. So I put together an outfit to wear at church yesterday, and at assembly. My mother found the shirt and jacket for me in an attempt to find something to go with it. So now for the outfit. Here it is.

     

            This photo makes me look rather dwarfish haha. But it gives a full view of the outfit.

   Another angle of sorts. As you can see the skirt is cotton material. It's pretty thin and lightweight. 

  

 Here's my very awkward attempt to lift the skirt to show more detail. Didn't go too well. :P

 Here's a close up on the top of the outfit. As you know from earlier posts, I love to have a little jacket/sweater to go over top to add a nice detail to the outfit. I doubt the outfit would be the same without it!

  And here are my shoes. Much like Katelyn with her high heels, I wear these sandals often with outfits during the summer. In fact, you can see them in another outfit post. I love sandals in summertime! But I'll soon be switching to closed toes and some heels for the fall.

 Skirt: SweetCakeCookie. Etsy shop. 

 Pink undershirt shirt: Lands End. You can get an undershirt in several different places. My mom found this quality one at Good Will. (You know how I'm always talking about how I love Good Will?)

White over shirt/jacket: Jasonmaxwell. Another one of my mom's Good Will finds. She's a great shopper!

Shoes: Mootsies Tootsies. I believe I picked these up at Peebles. Peebles is a nice little clothing store that no one appreciates as much as they should. :P I think some of their stores are known as Beals. 

I noticed that so far I've only done dressy outfit posts... mostly. So I'll try to do something slightly more casual in the future. 

 And that's the extent of my outfit post. I hope you enjoyed it! Now for the official review...

 This skirt came from THAILAND which makes it instantly cool in my mind. Along with the package was a sweet note written by the shop owner, and washing instructions. As I said the skirt is very lightweight/made of cotton. It goes almost to my ankles in length, and twirls when you turn. I really love it, and enjoy wearing it, especially for summertime. But I'll probably continue wearing it through the fall. There is a thin, cotton underskirt sewn into the skirt. My only complaint with this lovey piece of clothing is that because of the thin substance of the fabric it might rip or something. But I haven't had that problem yet, and it's very beautiful. 

 You won't be able to get this exact skirt, because from what I can tell this shop makes homemade skirts, and they are different. But if you want an equally lovely, comfortable skirt, check out SweetCakeCookie!

Full Length Lace Tee {Product Review}

A couple of weeks ago I bought the Full Length Lace Tee from Deborah and Co.  I absolutely love it!  The length is really long, which is great since most shirts tend to be short on me.  There is broad lace around the hem adding a feminine touch to it.  The neckline isn't quite as high as I imagined it would be, but it's still pretty high up.  One thing I don't necessarily care for is how wide the neckline scoops out.  I have fairly broad, square shoulders, so I don't know if that makes it scoop out more or if it's supposed to fit that way.

I ordered in the size I normally wear and it ended up fitting like a tank top (pretty form fitting).  I knew I wanted to use it as an undershirt only, so that wasn't a problem.  If you want to wear it by itself, I'd recommend ordering a size or two larger.

Overall, I really like the shirt.  I plan on ordering a white one sometime in the near future. =)

Masquerade! {ClassyGarb + Product Review}

So, today I have a dual post for you! A hairstick review from Dryad's Hollow, and an outfit post!

 Yesterday, I went to my cousin's masquerade wedding. It was so much fun, and I got to wear a mask, and some people even wore costumes. It was really cool.

 

 This was the night before. I was practicing hairstyles. The blue things are the hairsticks. :)

 

 This was the day of the wedding. The hair had been like this for several hours already, so that's why it's a little fuzzy.

Jacket: Jane Bryant. Another Good Will find. (The only problem I have with this is it's capped sleeves which makes me feel a little awkward at moments if I'm not careful. :P)

Review:

 The positives: They matched my dress, which I wasn't even thinking about when I picked them. They're pretty, and they held well in my hair. At least in the style I tried. 

The negatives: I have a couple of beefs with them. I don't know if the weight has anything to do with quality- they were light, but that wasn't my complaint. I felt they were a little too short for my hair. I've seen longer ones. I suppose they might work a little better with someone who has shorter hair then my almost two feet. A few styles I had trouble accomplishing because of the length of the hair stick. The second thing would be that the top part bends. I don't really know much about it, but yeah. 

 I'll definitely wear them again, at least in the style I wore them in because they held my hair quite well.

The Forgotten {Product Review}

 

Hello, everyone! 

Last week, The Forgotten contacted A Pinch of Classy about doing a review of one of their products.  I couldn't wait, because it's so much fun to do reviews, so I said yes.

So, The Forgotten sent me a pair of great overalls.  They came in the mail a day or two after I asked for them.  Fast shipping!

Now, I loved how these fit.  They're such a great product for women.
 

In the picture above you can see how the buttons close in, and flatter your figure.
 

The pocket in the front is great for carrying things, if you're going to be using the overalls for work purposes, and the clips clip fairly easily.

If you're a little short, like me, then the overalls will work perfectly is you just fold up the hem of the legs.  It also makes it look really stylish.

A Modest Solution for Tube Top Dresses

Ok.

 Originally I was planning on doing a review on a book that talked about things such as modesty and loving your family and a mix of other topics, but something happened yesterday and I just had to post about it! For many years I have wanted a long blue dress, that is modest. Sadly, there are not a lot out there that are modest of the kind that I prefer.

Well yesterday as my Mom and I were searching for some clothes for my youngest sister Liberty, I found a gorgeous blue dress! But there was one problem, and it was a BIG problem.....the dress was a tube top dress. (You know, the one that goes up right to under your arm and has no sleeves) Of course, I had to admire the style and color before moving on, but I definitely was NOT going to buy it, then my Mom came up with a wonderful idea! The store we were shopping at had a large variety of jackets     which covered up what it needed to cover on me pretty well. I was so thrilled!  Even though I was really in need of an mp3, I willingly bought the dress and jacket instead.

 When my Mom originally gave me the idea of posting about this on APOC, I was not sure what this had to do with modesty, but she told me that the jacket was a wonderful modesty tip on how to still keep those beautiful dresses that you love so much, that might not cover up enough. I believe that the jacket definitely did do its job. I put it on several times (All my siblings wanted to see it, and when you live in a large family all of them are usually not around at the moment you need them!) and all my siblings and family thought it looked great. I did notice one problem though, I have asked my sister Mikaela, who is the crafty kid (In a good way!) in our family to sew some straps onto it, very thin straps so that way you do not see them through the jacket but at least something to help keep the dress from falling down! You might consider that too if you try out this idea. :) 

My amazing Mom took some pictures of me the other day in the dress so I could add some examples. I am sorry, but I was only able to add two. Please excuse me if I do not look the happiest...I have the hardest time smiling for more than 3 seconds....it hurts my cheeks for some reason. Here they are.

A Classy Dragon Leather Belt! {review}

 

 

 

So, a couple weeks ago I was sent this gorgeous "Zoey" belt from Emily's Belts.

This lovely hand-crafted leather piece came wrapped nicely in a matching tissue paper; and from the moment I opened the box and unwrapped it, I knew it was a fine accessory!

 

 

 

 

 

It is true, genuine leather and this you can tell simply by its scent! (Am I the only one who just adores the smell of leather??)

 

 

 

 

One of the neatest things about this belt (and, most original as well) is the dragon etching on the front. Y'all might already know from past reviews that I love medieval/fantasy related things. So naturally this little emblem is one of my favorite parts of this piece!

I ordered the belt a tad too big, because I wasn't sure what to expect for sizing... I've found that it's wise to go bigger, when you're unsure. SO, thanks to this, I can wear this belt either at hip, or waist.

Personally I prefer to wear belts at the waist, but it's nice to know I could do either option here if I wished.

 

 

The belt has a very unique design/construction. It doesn't require a belt buckle; which is nice!

The color may appear very red in these photos but it's more of a cherry-mahogony brown.

 

Personally, I am really liking this belt and I know it will be used often in my wardrobe!

It is so my style, and quite clearly it has been crafted skillfully by someone very talented in leatherworking!
