First Day of VBS Outfit Fun

So, I am now back at home.
The last six months, all the scenery you saw in the background was in Tennessee.
Now it is home and Montana, one and the same :)
Here is a fun outfit I wore first day of VBS this year.
VBS, by the way was so fun... I helped out with what I could, which didn't end up being much, but still fun. One thing that was fun was being a part of the skit - I was an evil lady! Ah, that was fun!!!!
Comfortable, wild, and pretty.
Must say it is now a favorite of mine ;)

For my hair I tied a scarf around my head, pulled some of my hair to the front - pulling more to one side. On this side I did a long, small braid.

You can't tell, but all around, I am surrounded by chickens which I've just kicked away. ;)

I think we have plants growing in the boxes.

This is how you fashion model and hold a kitten all at once. Lol..He liked it actually.

You can sort of see how I did my hair here.

It looks like the kitten wants to bite me now.

Outfit:

Skirt: Plato's closet
Shirt: Hand-me down
Flip-flops: Wal-mart
Scarf: Goodwill
Necklace: Made
Bracelet: a small antique shop

What sort of fun things do you like to do with your hair? Did your church do VBS this year? If so, what did you wear on the first day?

Suuchi Scarf! {Review + Giveaway}

Hey, girls! To start off today's post, I want to congratulate Victoria Grace Tucker on winning the Christmas scarf giveaway. For those of you who didn't win... No worries. There will be a wonderful new opportunity at the end of this post. Today I am back with a review from Suuchi. I received this product free in exchange for my honest review.

Suuchi is a company that makes tons of customizable (sometimes drool worthy) clothing. They've got lots of dresses, blouses, and more. They offered me one of their scarves to review, my choice. There were a couple of initial problems, most of these were probably my fault. The only reason I mention them at all is to point out what a fabulous effort the Suuchi team made to help me out when I was confused or having any issues. Any company that takes the time to help you and will try their best to accomodate you without acting irritated about it gets points in my book.

The scarf arrived in a pretty quick amount of time, another nice thing. I chose the color orange sunset because I loved the pretty design and color. Here is a picture of me in the outfit I wore today. For some reason the dimensions look a bit strange and I'm sorry about the lighting! It was dark by the time we were able to do photos.

As you can see from the picture, the scarf has a shimmery quality to it that is really pretty. It's a very long scarf. In the picture it has already been folded in half and then over my neck. Some might not like this length, but I think it's a nice addition. It makes it simpler to wrap around your neck.

Here's one slightly closer. It still doesn't show the complete detail of the scarf so I'm going to share one more.

Here we go. The detail on this scarf is gorgeous. It is my favorite part of the piece. The scarf is light, but thick, and feels like quality. It has a silky texture to it that feels great against the skin and you could also wear it as a wrap (or belt) because it quite thick as well as long.

I am so pleased with this scarf. One never knows what they'll get over the internet, but I think I can safely say that Suuchi makes quality products. I have so enjoyed working with this company and having the opportunity to review this product. If you would like to check out this product, visit here.

 Scarf: Suuchi. Given to review.

Jacket: Southern Lady. We probably got it at Hamrick's because that's where we tend to get most of our Southern Lady clothing.

 Top: Rafaella. Thrift store find!

Skirt: Grace Elements. Found at Belk's.

Boots: Brand unknown. Found at Peebles.

Suuchi has kindly offered to give one of their beautiful scarves to one lucky reader! To enter, use the rafflecopter form below.

Thanks for reading!

Wearing Your Hair in a Scarf

Lol 😝 How many people are crazy enough to dress this way - on a a normal basis, and in public?

 Me. 😉

I am rather weird in my tastes. I like wild, comfy, pretty, easy, crazy, fancy, practical all wrapped in one. - Those are some of my favorite words, too ;).

I get some crazy results :D Such as this new thing with my hair ( I've been doing it about 6 months now ).

I first did it in this picture - wanting something unique and pretty for a girls' party I was going to, I suddenly thought of braiding a ribbon into my hair. A close friend, Esther helped me! ( Never knowing how crazy I'd become weeks later ).

The ribbon was soon replaced with a scarf :)

At first I would just wrap the scarf around my head, tie it under my pony tail and then over. And then I just let it hang or braid it loosely into my hair.

For a wilder, looser look I just tie it under the pony tail [If the scarf has tassels it will add length to your hair :D ]

But the scarf does like to fall off the top of my head to my back quite often - especially at youth group. 😒 So, I bought some dark colored hair clips about 1 and 1/2 inches long and snap one on each side of the top of my head and scarf.

Keeps the scarf there 😀

For the ribbon variation I tie the center of the ribbon to a dark colored pony tail holder ( hairband ), make my hair up into a pony tail and then braid the ribbon into my hair tightly.

And now for the pictures!!! 😍
