Eighteen

I know, I know, I'm terrible. Please forgive me for my lack of posts as I try to organize my thoughts... my own blog has been suffering some as well. I'm going to try to make some videos in the future, and I was wondering... what kind of things would you like to see videos about? Cooking, crafting, scripture talks... songs? We want this ministry to be the best blessing it can be to all of you, to glorify the Lord.

I've just had my eighteenth birthday, and it seems like such a strange thing. There are so many complex things to figure out. You have to sign your own things, and are no supposedly allowed to do things illegal when you were younger.

Let's just think about that for a moment.

If something is given to us as wrong when we are ten, or fourteen... isn't it still wrong for us when we're eighteen?

When you're given the power of decision and adulthood, this means you now have to do things yourself. You can't always lean on your parents. And in a Christian sense, when you grow as a Christian you have to see things from a more matured perspective. And it can be hard.

You may face trials, you may face the consequences that come from being an adult. But you will also face an ability to use your newfound freedom to serve God, and you know that He will always be there for you!

He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved .  In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.  Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.~ Psalms 62:6-9

  1. Great post, being 18 you feel you have so much power and yet realize how much more you need to rely on God.

  2. I loved this! I just turned eighteen the week before last and it's so true. You feel you have so much power, but at the same time you realize just how much more you have to learn to trust the Lord.
